Hungover Robert MacIntyre gets £102 Jet2 flight home after boozy Ryder Cup party
Ryder Cup hero Robert MacIntyre jumped on a budget flight home from Italy while feeling a tad worse for wear.
The Scot helped Europe to a crushing victory over Team USA by 16 1/2 points to 11 1/2 in front of an adoring home crowd at the Marco Simone Golf and Country Club across the weekend. The 27-year-old, who won 2 1/2 of those points, was then seen flying home looking rather tender.
In comparisons snaps posted by the official social media account of the victors, MacIntyre held a bottle of Peroni on the team coach looking jubilant – before looking rather tired while waiting to board his flight home to Glasgow.

WILD CELEBRATIONS: Rory McIlroy leads Europe's booze chugging Ryder Cup celebrations late into the night
The Jet2 flight advertised on the board behind the 42nd ranked Oban man were listed at just £102. At least it wouldn't make much of a dent on his career earnings of over £6million!
Celebrations were led by team captain Luke Donald and leading points scorer Rory McIlroy after Europe nabbed the points they needed in the singles after doubles domination. MacIntyre had been seen sipping on beer on the team bus as colleagues blasted out 'Europe's on fire' as well as 500 Miles by The Proclaimers.

MacIntyre and Shane Lowry appeared to be two of the biggest partiers as celebrations dragged onto 4:30AM local time on Monday. MacIntyre's humble celebrations and efforts were hailed by fans during the tournament, with a win alongside McIlroy and half with Justin Rose before beating Wyndham Clark in the singles.
The win marks one of his career best achievements so far after two wins on the European Tour and being tied sixth at The Open in 2019. MacIntyre told BBC Radio 5 Live of the weekend: "These finishing holes are tough so just about trying to get your point and see what happens. Thankfully we finished it off.

"It's incredible. This is a completely different team from a few years ago. The top guys are absolutely solid and stalwarts on the PGA Tour.
"For me being in that team with these guys, I have learned so much. I am never going to forget this for rest of my life."
