‘Joe Joyce has to beat Zhilei Zhang – but he might be too good for his own good’
British boxing star David Haye has claimed Joe Joyce 'must beat' Zhilei Zhang on Saturday evening, or the British heavyweight might not have a shot at the top again.
Zhang shocked the boxing world earlier this year when he emerged victorious in the pairs' first fight. And with Joyce having the chance to erase the one blot in his copy book – Haye has outlined the importance of the bout.
Speaking to Daily Star Sport ahead of the bout, Haye said: "It's massive, Joe has to win this fight. You know the repercussions for losing the fight, may see him not being able to get the opportunity again."

If Joyce is to emerge victorious from the bout, he could position himself in line for a mandatory title shot against Oleksandr Usyk. Joyce was the WBO interim heavyweight, until Zhang ripped the title away from him.
However, if Joyce is to lose again, Haye suggested there won't be a long line of boxers wanting to fight the Brit.

Haye added: "He may be too good for his own good. I don't see a line of people wanting to share the ring with Joe.
"Because he's shown you time and time again. He can take a punch. He's fit for 12 rounds. He lets his hands go.
"He's a problem for anyone in any era. And if you don't have to fight him you won't.
"If he loses this position now, it's great that he's got the rematch, very few people will be willing to share the ring with him. He's too good for his own good.
"And people only fight him if he's mandatory for some sort of title. I've never heard anyone calling his name out. He's just not that guy. You only fight Joe, if you have to fight Joe."
