Raheem Sterling burglary suspects named as police begin hunt after £300,000 raid

Boehly’s Chelsea revolution continues after £65m purchase for new stadium

Surrey Police have confirmed that detectives are hunting three Albanian men linked to a burglary at Raheem Sterling’s house last year. It has come after another man was charged over the same break-in which took place when the Chelsea star was at the World Cup with the England squad.

Alfred Isufi, 48, Gerard Kalaja, 22, and Henri Osmani, 44, are being sought for questioning over 33 burglaries, including one at Sterling’s Oxshott house, in which an estimated £1m is thought to have been stolen across Surrey, Essex, Kent and Hertfordshire.

The trio are suspected of being linked to the December break-in, where jewellery and watches worth £300,000 were reportedly stolen while Sterling was in Qatar.

Detective Inspector James Ansell informed the BBC that they will be making an appeal on the Beeb’s Crimewatch show in the next few weeks, for the three men who have links to Harlow, Essex and north London as they are believed to still be in the UK.

“Investigating burglary dwellings is a priority for Surrey Police and we will be relentless in pursing these offenders,” Det Insp Ansell said.

Sterling travelled home from Qatar to be with his family after news of the incident reached him, as he missed England’s 3-0 win over Senegal on December 4 before then returning for the remainder of the tournament.
