Man Utd eye ex-Chelsea defender
Manchester United are strengthening their interest in former Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori, according to reports from Italy.
Milan Web say England international Tomori could leave for a suitable offer and that United have their eyes on the centre-half.
A £34million price tag has reportedly been set by Milan but it is added that a move in January is unlikely.
Instead, it is a move that could take place in the summer when a deal might be easier for United to do.
Matteo Gabbia, on loan at Villarreal from Milan, and Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior are seen as long-term replacements for Tomori, 25.
Chelsea learn £85m price tag
Chelsea have been told it will cost them £85million to sign Sporting’s Viktor Gyokeres, say the Daily Mirror.
Gyokeres is on a five-man shortlist of strikers alongside Ivan Toney and Victor Osimhen for January. Mauricio Pochettino is eager to recruit a potent goalscorer to take his team up a level.
The Swede only joined Sporting from Coventry in the summer but has been a huge hit since with 16 goals across all competitions.
But Chelsea will have to pay Gyokeres’ £85m release clause in full to sign him, his Portuguese club have told the Londoners per the Mirror.
Arsenal identify new £50m target
Arsenal have identified Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke as a new transfer target for January.
That’s according to the Daily Star, who say Solanke is on Arsenal’s list of alternatives for Brentford frontman Ivan Toney.
It’s claimed Tottenham and Chelsea are also keen on the 27-year-old who has eight goals in 16 games this season.
Mikel Arteta will reportedly push for a deal to sign Englishman Solanke – who could cost around £50million – if he does not get Toney next month.
